Investigator J. Dwayne Corn
 
Chief Investigator Randy Bogan
     

Investigator Corn has been an investigator with the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office for 6 years. He is ABMDI certified with the American Board of Medicolegal Death Examiners. Investigator Corn has worked as a patrol deputy and the DARE/Crime Prevention unit with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. He has served as a Forensic CSI for the Greenville County Department of Community Service.

Investigator Corn has worked also as a police officer in Clover, SC and Ninety Six, SC in his 15 years of law enforcement. He is a member of the SC Coroner's Association, the International Association of Identification, the SC International Homicide Investigation, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association, Crime Prevention Specialist, Certified Firearms Instructor.

 

Chief Investigator Randy Bogan has 27 plus years in law enforcement. He is ABMDI certified with the American Board of Medicolegal Death Examiners. Randy has worked with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office as a Uniform Patrol Officer for 11 years, a Narcotics Officer for 4 years and Forensic I. D. Officer for 10 years. Chief Investigator Bogan has been with the Coroner's Office for three years. He is an expert witness in crime scene investigation and marijuana analysis.

Chief Investigator Bogan is the recipient of the 2005 Solicitor's Office award. Bogan has been a driving instructor for SCCJEA for 12 years. He has obtained certificates on the state and federal level in basic and advanced DNA collection, Facial Identification of FBI Academy, basic and advanced photography school, blood stain analysis school and Marijuana eradication and analysis school.

He is a current member of the SC Coroner's Association, ABMDI Medical Legal Examiners, the International Homicide Investigation Association, Arson Investigation and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officer's Association.

Investigator Teri Carter
 
Investigator Ellen Holmes
     

Investigator Teri Carter is a graduate from American Intercontinental University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensic Science. She is ABMDI Board Certified with the American Board of Medicolegal Death Examiners.Teri has been with the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office for two years. Investigator Carter was a Reserve Coroner's Investigator prior to becoming full-time. She is certified as a Forensic Photographer and in Forensic Anthropology. Investigator Carter is a certified Emergency Response Dive Operator.

Before becoming a full time Investigator Teri worked as an Administrative Assistant with Cherokee County Schools for 7 years and is the owner of Coby's Steak and Seafood in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.

Investigator Carter is a member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officer's Association, South Carolina Coroner's Association and the South Carolina Office of the Governor's Guardian Ad Litem Volunteer Program.

 

Investigator Ellen Holmes has been with the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office since March of 2010. Prior to becoming a full time investigator, Investigator Holmes worked as a Reserve officer for the Coroner's Office. Investigator Holmes is a Spartanburg native. She is a graduate of Spartanburg High School. Ellen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Salem College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Queens College.

Investigator Holmes worked for Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Clinical Research prior to becoming a Coroner's Investigator. She is an RN at the Pediatric Evening Clinic. Ellen has spent 10 years in the neonatal intensive care unit and 2 years in the cardiac catheterization lab before entering clinical research. Investigator Holmes is a current member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officer's Association and the South Carolina Coroner's Association.


     
     
     
 
Investigator Rick McCraw
 
Investigator Anna Fowler
     

Investigator Rick McCraw has just joined the Coroner's Office team. He has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Investigator McCraw is a graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Basic Law Enforcement with other specialized training. Rick has over 26 years of law enforcement experience with employments with the SC Department of Corrections, Spartanburg City Police Department and the Seventh Circuit Solicitor's Office.

Investigator McCraw retired as Chief of Investigators with the Seventh Circuit Solicitor's Office. He has experience in uniform patrol, criminal investigations, crime scene videography and Photography, interview and interrogations skills, child interview, crime prevention and community relations, prosecutorial case preparations and jury selection and evidence custodian.

Investigator McCraw is a member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association and the South Carolina Coroner's Association. He is a volunteer for the Guardian Ad Litem and with the American Cancer Society.

 

Investigator Fowler has just joined the Coroner's Office team. She is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Investigator Fowler worked with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office 5 years prior to coming to work with the Coroner's Office. She worked uniform patrol and warrant office doing Fugitives and Extraditions.

Investigator Fowler is member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association and the South Carolina Coroner's Association.
